KABATA-かばた

"Kabata"
In Harie, one small village near the lake Biwa, the soil of this area
contains lots of pure water, and each house can easily access to
spring water. (just put in a pipe into the soil!) Then Each house
has their own small sring. There, people create an interesting
water and wastewater equipment called "Kabata", using spring water.

"Kabata"
Kabata is deviled into 3 parts, first lavel is called "TUBO-IKE".
There people impound clean water to cool down vegetable or fruits,
such as a refrige.
in 2nd level, they wash their dishes without detergent.
(not many of Japanese food contains oil, but if they use oil,
they use regular sink in the kitchen as we do). Then, in 3rd level,
there are carps so that these fish eats tiny food wastes.

Where these water go...

The (waste) water from each house flow into one river. These water
is pretty much purified by the fishes already, but in the river,
there is some plants which also helps water to be more pure.
