Fete du Travail

[le petit bouquet de muguet]

Now, 01/05 is a world well known holiday for Workers,

Today, my flatmate gave me a petit bouquet de muguet,
as a gift of 1st of May, wishing my luck of this year.
That's very sweet.

Thanks to wikipedia, I could know the the origin of this gift.

In france, the begining of 20 centry, giving a branch of the flower
(a lily of the velly), the symbol of spring of ile-de-France,
at 1st of May became a custom.

In this season, some of French people take a small vacation,
as well as Julien, my other flat mate, who heading to U.S for 10days.
(But that's a long one. normally this year, it is 4 days off, including weekend.)

In my office, we took a week off as well, since we'd participated in Milan salone,
some of us need a vacation.
